“Un véritable HAVRE DE PAIX !”

The welcome was very friendly and the host was very kind. It felt like home. The setting was beautiful, green, and nicely decorated. Dinner and breakfast were very generous. Everything was in place for a peaceful stay. No complaints.

Fabrice welcomed us warmly and was always available. The pool was handy for a quick dip. Little touches like a chalkboard with our names on the room doors and a hearty breakfast served on the terrace added to the charm. Nothing negative.

“a true "home away from home" in a quiet and safe neighbourhood”

It felt like a lovely “home away from home” at Havre de Paix, exactly as described, if not better. Fabrice and his German partner were wonderful hosts, giving plenty of tips on what to do and helping me explore most of Martinique, providing guides in French and English. I liked both my room and the lovely terrace where I had breakfast in the morning and an optional dinner in the evening. The swimming pool was great for cooling down after a hot day. The cute colibris that regularly came to sip the sugar syrup were truly the main attraction for me! The location is perfect in a quiet neighbourhood with only forest as neighbours on the backside of the house, easily reachable from downtown Fort-de-France by bus or rental car. I especially enjoyed going to sleep and waking up with the sounds of nature/jungle. I found it very convenient to rent my car directly with Fabrice, a Dacia Duster, which served well for exploring Martinique. The car rental with Fabrice was very professional and easy! Fabrice also offers pick‑ups/drop‑offs at the airport, in town, or at the harbour for a fair price if needed. I decided to try the dinner Fabrice offers for 22 EUR on the first evening and ordered it again for the following nights; he cooks wonderfully! Nothing to mention.
