The staff were courteous and respectful, and the breakfast was decent. However, after a 16‑hour flight followed by 3 hours of airport customs and travel to the hotel, I was utterly exhausted when I arrived. I presented my hard‑copy booking confirmation to the front desk gentleman, and he informed me that my reservation had been cancelled. I then showed him the confirmation app on my phone, which was still active, and he made several calls, insisting that a third party had cancelled it. I was shocked because I know from experience that bookings are not cancelled without prior notice. After spending 3 hours on a small sofa, he called his supervisor and managed to secure a room for us. I must say he was helpful. The second issue was the presence of cockroaches: one crawled across the table next to my bed, and the following night, while I was in bed with the lights off, another cockroach touched my hand—disgusting. I couldn't take pictures, but having traveled to over 40 countries, I've never seen such a problem, even in a one‑star hotel. I definitely won't return and pay $304 per night for this experience.
