Breakfast was good, the room was good, the location in Stonehaven was good, the hosts were good, and the atmosphere felt homely. A lift (we’re in our 80s) and a lounge would have helped – but it wasn’t essential and we managed fine.

The budget room and bathroom were great, breakfast superb, but no en‑suite and every room sits on the second floor.
