A family‑friendly hotel housed in an original 13th‑century building, nicely furnished with antique furniture and equipment. Breakfast is tailored to your order from the day before, using good products and a wide selection. The local bar, in the same building, offers decent beer and cheap food. There are enough parking spaces, and the quiet surroundings mean the main street’s traffic noise at night is minimal. The hotel is relatively close to Stowe, where prices can be several times higher. However, the old building shows its flaws: the bathroom door doesn’t close properly, the floor is steeply sloped as the structure settles, and the room and bathroom furnishings are worn.
