Montana Garden

The concept was nice – the layout was simple and there were a lot of animals roaming around. Ana Maria was friendly and did everything she could to help when we arrived. The place felt neglected and didn’t match the photos; the linens were dirty and there was nothing in the rooms. We had requested a kettle and extra pillows almost a year before our arrival, yet they were still missing. They swapped our room because the shower wasn’t ventilated. Breakfast was mediocre, and there was no small light in the room.

The resort is well positioned in a very tidy natural setting just outside Sibiu, and construction work is underway. Getting to the property is easy. They have a restaurant where you can eat well next to an artificial lake. The cabins are properly equipped. The highlight is the variety of friendly domestic or wild animals roaming freely: swans, geese, ducks, chickens, cats, and a puppy. We chose the property for its SPA options, but those are gone: the mud baths are sold out and the sauna doesn’t work, which was disappointing. They should update their website for accuracy. There’s also a severe sewage smell in the bathroom that the ventilation can’t handle. On the last night we slept in the cold with the door open, and that didn’t solve the strong septic emissions. A pity – the quality didn’t justify the steep price.

The location and atmosphere were wonderful, a pleasant experience from the tidy, charming cabins all the way to the swan-filled lakes and superb garden. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant food was excellent. A perfect spot for relaxation – we’ll gladly return and recommend it!

The location was outstanding, parking was convenient, and the restaurant was very good. No significant negative points were identified.
