“Fantastic”
The breakfast every day was excellent, with Vanessa the chef always attentive, informative, and cheery, serving great local dishes. Randy, Cheryl, and Stacey at the front desk were welcoming, polite, and discreet, and the location itself felt breathtaking, intimate, relaxing, and charming. All staff—Pernaldo and Omar at dinner, Mellissa and Simone at reception, Omar the groundskeeper, Chevon security, and Tannecea management—were top notch, striking the right mix of warmth and politeness for a vacation. Mellissa helped a lot with a tough billing issue and communicated well, while Tannecea was a go‑to management point, sensitive yet organized. The massages were very good; after ten years as a massage therapist in NYC’s best hotels, I found these therapists great. The yoga teacher was serious and challenging yet patient and precise. Dinner was always delicious, and the dining deck was fabulous. My only complaint is about the physical plant: some money should be invested to bring the place to the very best standard. It’s already gorgeous, cool, and laid back, but a few edges are getting worn. The private hot tub needs an upgrade, the rum bar in the cave could become great, the ladders down to the water should be replaced, and the tub and shower in our cottage, though super clean and functional, are showing wear.
