I appreciated the peace and quiet, but a rat was found in the hallway and I wish the room had a bar fridge.

The hotel was dated yet clean, and the receptionist was incredibly kind, helping us order take‑out dinner after we arrived in Bredasdorp at night when most places were closed except a few pizza spots. Unfortunately, we ended up in the city at night and the vibe was unpleasant; everything was shut, making it unwise to stroll around the “city,” and the Wi‑Fi was virtually nonexistent. It was very hot, so we slept with the fan on, which was quite noisy.

That the property was close to the area I was visiting and the staff was very nice and fr3. Nothing

The Victoria Hotel still holds some old‑world charm, though a lot could be done to revive that historic feel. The bed was very comfortable with crisp, clean linen. I was disappointed that my husband and I couldn’t dine at the hotel; the staff suggested a restaurant down the street. Breakfast at R175 per person was too expensive, so we didn’t even consider it. The carpets in the rooms need serious cleaning. While we could park our car safely at the back of the hotel, I didn’t feel safe in the area.
