The spot was perfect for what we needed, and the rooms stayed quiet. There was plenty of parking and the staff were friendly. The beds were comfy. The room felt a bit dated, and the shower over the bath was very slippery.

I booked a double, but when I arrived I was handed a large family room instead. It was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The room stayed quiet, as I’d requested, and was at the back of the building. The staff were friendly and helpful. The key fob was tiny; I lost it, which was my fault, but a larger fob would have made it easier.

They wouldn’t let me leave my bank details. On arrival I was asked for my bank account details to cover room damages. I refused because I didn’t want to risk fraudulent charges. The staff at the Marsdons pub charged me for a room and wouldn’t let me in. I left after reporting the incident to the Police. Beware of staff scamming customers.

Lovely place to stay

The staff were very helpful, polite and efficient. The only minor gripe was the toilet seat; because of the cistern design the lid couldn’t sit vertically, so it leaned forward and made sitting uncomfortable.
