I paid for this hotel thinking we would be accommodated, my wife and I in a normal spot in Brașov, not in the CFR rail yard, within the workers’ areas (CFR employees). Immediately upon entering the room, we were greeted by a disgusting sewer smell from the toilet, unbearable. We complained right away, by phone, to Mr. Dumbrava, but he didn’t care about the issue, and instead of addressing it he mocked our complaint and hung up. I request urgent measures! I will also file a complaint with OPC in parallel. The location and the disgusting smell in the room were the negative points.

The spot was spot on, everything we needed was close by, and the bed was comfy. But for what we paid each night, finding a ripped bedsheet was a real let‑down, and a persistent sewage stench from the bathroom lingered all day because the ventilation couldn’t clear it.

“Jen pro velminofolné dobrodruhy”

The place is right at the train station. However, it’s not a hotel at all – it’s a workers’ lodging, unmarked and unknown to locals. We had to call a number, where a helpful lady guided us to a worker who swept the street and opened a room for us, but he didn’t speak English. He demanded a city taxi in local cash, and we ended up giving him 5 €, with no receipt. The room and shower were clean, though there was a dirty spot on the duvet while the sheets were fine. We had to fluff the duvets ourselves. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone; for the price and this attitude it’s a disaster.

When my train arrived late, this place saved me. The staff were super helpful in getting me into my room safely.
