The spot’s perfect, close to the walls and the shopping streets, and the staff were very warm and attentive. The place is clean but a touch old‑fashioned, and it matches the photos exactly. The AC is loud and doesn’t adjust well—it’s always too strong.

The rooms were large and very clean. Excellent location and very friendly staff. Nothing, everything was excellent

The location is great for exploring Galle fort, the rooms are lovely, and the breakfast is plentiful and good. Service was also very good, and because we stayed during a quiet period the hotel was almost empty. Like most tropical hotels, getting the AC right at night is a challenge.

Being right on the fort makes walking around convenient, and the staff were helpful. The only downside was the morning noise from the birds outside.

The staff were great—Supun, the host, was very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for seeing Galle; ask Rasika, the tuc tuc driver who lost his legs during the civil war, to show you around Galle—he’s a great guy and the experience was fantastic. The stay felt too short.
