Carina, this is THE place to stay if you’re visiting Tropea! It was honestly the absolute highlight of our trip. You were the sweetest, most welcoming host, and I can genuinely say I’ve never had such a lovely host before. Your hospitality, kindness and attention to detail made our stay so special. The food was absolutely incredible and another highlight of our trip. You are such a talented cook, and it’s clear how much love and care you put into everything you do. You truly know what great hospitality is all about! The location is also perfect, making it an ideal place to stay while exploring Tropea. We cannot recommend this place enough. If you’re visiting Tropea, this is a MUST-stay! We would absolutely love to come back and stay with you again. Thank you for making our trip so unforgettable! ❤

“Wonderful central place in Tropea”

The roof‑top breakfast was the best à la carte in Italy—homemade, healthy, and with plenty of options. Carina was a perfect host, exceeding the high standards we’d seen lately with help on excursions, restaurants, and beaches. I spent a great six days there.

“Miejsce, do którego chce się wracać”

"Don Carlo" is a stunning, authentic place in a charming historic building that stole our hearts. We travel a lot, but such a wonderful, smiling, and helpful staff is rare. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned daily to a sparkling finish. A huge plus is the equipment—an umbrella and beach towels are ready at the beach, making relaxation a breeze. Breakfasts were delicious and truly Italian. The biggest strengths of the property are the friendly chats with the owners and the brilliant rooftop terrace—an oasis of peace and relaxation in the crowded center of Tropea. We felt completely comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay! The conversations with the owner were an amazing experience for me—I felt as if I’d met an old friend I’d found on the other side of Europe. On the downside, you have to be ready for the fact that the property is in the historic part of town and, let’s be clear, it is NOISY. That’s neither a flaw nor a feature, just a fact. In the city center, you won’t find absolute silence. It compensates with proximity to all amenities (shops, eateries, beach) and typical Italian views.
