The Breakers feels like the living room of luxury; the staff are friendly, helpful, and always ready with a recommendation. The rooms are spacious but not huge, and the outdoor areas and pools are expansive. The place never feels crowded, and the food—though a trio can cost around 400 dollars—is absolutely delicious. The resort also generously offers dessert or coffee. We’ll definitely return soon. After leaving the Breakers, every other hotel on our trip felt like a downgrade; we quickly grew used to the lack of the usual comforts. The seaweed on the beach is a small disappointment, but it’s just nature.

The hotel is wonderful and the restaurants are excellent. However, there was a lot of sargassum and a bad smell in certain areas of the hotel, so cleaning and removal are important.

The reception and service were catastrophic. We walked alone for 30 minutes pulling our luggage to reach a room that the receptionist said was accessible by elevator, but it wasn’t. When we finally arrived, someone else was already in the room because the room number had been mixed up. The listing claimed the suite (Flager Club Ocean Suite Sea view) had a sea view, but it had none at all. It’s a shame for a 5‑star hotel when you book a suite for $2250.
