The location was good. The space was pleasant! There was no hot water at night.

Breakfast was sufficient. The rooms were spacious and the whole place had charm, though it was worn. The swimming area was large and a walk to the beach. The beach itself was quite varied, rocky with occasional sandy patches. A few restaurants are close by. It was a good fixed point to leave each morning to see the sights. Driving to Alberobello, Locorotondo, Polignano, Matera, Ostuni, and Monopoli was easy. The whole building and surroundings were worn and needed improvement. Part of the area was closed, including the pool restaurant. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves.

The staff’s effort to mitigate the many “deficiencies” of the structure is worth noting. At the time of booking the Residence was rated ****, but on site they displayed ***: dilapidated annexes, mold in the bathroom including the shower cabin, miserable kitchen equipment, a TV but no remote (provided after 4 days), very modest breakfast quality, etc.
