The room has a direct view of the Danube, a mini‑fridge, and air conditioning. The guesthouse has all the facilities if you want to cook. We ate very well in Eșelnița. There are four rooms. Those staying with us also went fishing on the pontoon and could even do SUP. We visited the area.

The balcony offers a view of the Danube, but the resort itself feels cramped. The ground floor near the water in Dubova village is split into narrow plots where each person builds their own house, creating a chaotic scene. The village is still constructing its sewage system, and currently the waste flows through street drainage channels—probably into the Danube—producing a strong odor. There isn’t any space for walks in the village. I’m now in Kladovo, Serbia, where the comfort level is much higher (both the apartment and the town) and the daily rate is lower.

The location is excellent, right next to a restaurant, and if you’re hungry you can still eat something, plus there’s a kitchen and grill available. I liked that they gave us a canoe right from the accommodation to go on a trip to the stews. I also enjoyed fishing. The hosts were very welcoming and kind. I recommend going with full confidence. The only downside was that the fishing spot was quite small and there was a lot of vegetation that snagged the line.
