The location was unbelievable for a match; it was a 3 minute walk to the stadium. The rooms were newly renovated and nicely appointed, and all the doors had code pad access so there were no problems with keys or lock boxes. No issues really, except that the room was overly warm, though that might have been fine later in the year.

Breakfast was not on site but only a few steps away in a neighboring cafe, which offered a small fry, toast, and a hot drink. The room was very clean and comfortable. My son loved the complimentary Liverpool scarf and badges—a really lovely touch. The only slight negative was that the hand soap was a watered-down dribble in the bottle, but this was balanced by the little bottles of shower gel and other toiletries that you don’t necessarily expect these days.

The staff gave me personal attention when my room had a problem and quickly moved me to an even better room. Everything else was fine.
