I loved the vibe. The building’s history is showcased throughout the hotel, almost like a small museum. It’s a very quiet place, giving the feeling of stepping back in time.

The staff were friendly and the check-in/check-out process was easy. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. The hotel owner really needs to do a deep clean of all the dust and grime. Being a historic building doesn't excuse the poor condition it's kept in. Our room looked out onto the dilapidated moss-covered roof that was partially covered in a tarp; not a great sight. Cleary a breeding ground for mosquitos too; I got bit sleeping here more than I did while camping

The Rodmay was comfortable and interesting; its historical history was fascinating to learn and experience.

The reception was friendly and helpful, but finding the location at night was very difficult; the GPS was not updated with the facility. The antique ambience is nice if you like that, and the amenities are good, but the very old hotel is not suitable for anyone with difficulty climbing stairs, and there is no restaurant on the premises.
