The atmosphere was friendly, the location was good, and the staff were very helpful. Renting a car on site was a great option, and the balcony offered a nice sea view in a relatively quiet area for city standards. Rooms were clean and tidied regularly by a lovely lady. The rooms were large, bright, and the bed was comfortable. A sizable clothes dryer was on the balcony. I definitely recommend it. The only downside is the lack of lockable drawers for clothes, but there are plenty of hangers so it can be managed reasonably.

The staff are attentive, available, and very friendly. I didn’t feel the place matched the photos; we booked a studio with a “kitchen,” but we only got a room with a fridge.

The room was great, with a sea view, privacy, and rooms cleaned every other day. It felt cozy, had a large continental bed with a comfy mattress, was only about 400 m from the beach, and the staff were helpful. I missed small but essential items—no knives, spoons, forks, or cups in the room, which made eating there a hassle; other hotels in Malia had those. There was also no small stove, probably due to the room size. The Wi‑Fi was frustratingly slow, almost unusable at night.

“très agréable”

The staff were very kind. The apartment is well‑located near the beach and restaurants, yet not in noisy streets. The room is fairly large, with a small balcony, and there’s access to a pool. If you ask, the hotel can take you to the airport. The curtains are thin and insulation is poor, so we’re constantly woken by other guests’ noise at night and by the early morning sun. The shower is inconvenient because water easily spills all over the bathroom while washing.

The stay was excellent! The Amara Seaside team was extremely nice and welcoming, offering helpful recommendations. The apartment was brand new and the check‑in was fast and smooth. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Malia!
