We never actually checked into Hotel Casa Blanca, so I can’t give a rating; the contact number listed never answered either by phone or WhatsApp despite several tries. The address sent us to a spot about 45 minutes from downtown Tarapoto, in a dark, isolated, hardly trafficked area. When we arrived, the building was completely dark and nobody responded to our knocks or calls, forcing us to leave immediately by motorbike taxi. The driver warned us the neighborhood is unsafe at night with frequent robberies, so we prioritized our family’s safety and had to find another place to stay that very night and a new hotel the next day. I think the listing should be reviewed because the property seemed vacant or under construction and was far from the city, posing a risk to night‑time travelers. My two young children were terrified that evening, so I urge an investigation and a decision on whether this accommodation should remain on the platform.
