The bed was a single mattress that was very large, unlike some places that combine two beds; it was very comfortable. The TV screen was big and nice. The room was very dated and worn, felt cramped, the bedframe had torn corners, a nightstand was falling apart and tilted so things rolled off it. The carpet had stains. The mini‑fridge was tiny and stored in a cupboard in the doorway on the floor, making it hard to reach; it would have been better under the desk below the TV. The room faced a back alley where a nightclub or restaurant backdoor also led, and at times loud noise from that place echoed into our window.

The room was comfortable and the location was good and safe. The hotel gave us an internal phone that didn't work; we told reception when checking out and were surprised the staff said they knew about the phone but still put it in the room. We asked for air‑conditioning in the room and found the remote was stuck to the wall but didn't work; it turned out the control was handled by reception or the hotel. We were cold at night and asked the hotel to raise the temperature, only to be told the night‑shift staff couldn't do it. The worst part was when I was in the room about to enter the bathroom for a shower, the doorbell rang and before I could open the door, a man opened it! I was shocked and scared, being alone. Later when my daughter returned, she complained and was told the cleaner had mistakenly come to the wrong room. Crazy!

The room was comfortable, the location was good and it was clean. The space in the room was small.
