Is there a better place to stay in Srinagar? Aadil and his father are the greatest hosts, the almost 200‑year‑old boat takes you back in time; after Pahalgam I returned for an extra night because it already felt like home. All was perfect.

The people at the inn were extremely kind and courteous, the room was clean, and because the houseboat isn’t squeezed between others like on Dal Lake, the view from the room and terrace was simply superb.
