“Over priced”

We spent 21 of the 28 days in Rhodes at different hotels; this place was roomy, had smaller pools, great sunbeds, and the outdoor pizza was hot and tasty. The room was okay, but the bath plug didn’t work properly. The food selection was limited, dishes were lukewarm, and nothing was hot; the gin and tonic tasted like paint stripper, while the Oceanis Park Hotel offered better ones. The wine was poor. The room was fine except an ashtray on the balcony had three dog ends left in it, and the room key kept malfunctioning. After two days the beach hadn’t been cleaned post‑storm, whereas the neighboring hotels had cleaned theirs; it feels overrated for the price we paid.

The location is fantastic, the sea and beach are superb, the proximity to the center is good, the staff are attentive, the outdoor sports area is nice, and the hotel has a renovated or added section that’s lucky to stay in. However, the restaurant sometimes has a strong odour and the room has a constant heavy odour. The food quality is poor and noticeable. The gyros on the beach are a nice touch, but most people throw half of it away (it’s too thick and undercooked). We always had to eat dinner outside, and the beach bar lacks European drinks, which is a significant drawback even at the price.

“We have enjoyed our stay. Location, facilities, food, entertainment, beach, rooms. All around everything was excellent.”

The setup was very nice, with a private beach and plenty of amenities.

“Ganz ok, für den Preis mehr erwartet”

The exterior of the resort looks well kept and the location is convenient; there are several pools and the beach is spacious, so in early October nobody fought over loungers at either spot, and the activities were well organized. The staff were friendly. Inside, however, the bathrooms, rooms and corridors feel worn out and old, especially the bathrooms which are poorly maintained and dirty—just limescale or accumulated grime, which clashes with the hotel’s image. The unpleasant canal odor in the bath made it hard to relax. The food was varied, yet all hot dishes were cold throughout the week, even when freshly placed on the buffet, resulting in a complete taste failure.
