Everything was spotless and the staff were friendly, and the evening meal was nice, but I was a little let down by the lack of a hot breakfast option and having to eat in the room; a warm breakfast would have made the stay better, though it won't stop me from coming back.

The room was very comfortable and well sized with excellent facilities, and the bath was fabulous. We appreciated the breakfast hamper left outside our door at the requested time, making for a relaxed morning in bed. However, we were next to the A66, a busy road, and the night traffic kept waking us up with lorries; the second night was quieter. We had booked a Saturday night meal and found the menu on the website had more options than what we received, though the food itself was lovely.
