I recommend not wasting time searching for accommodations in the area: Santa Maria Vecchia Relais is top from many viewpoints, and there’s nothing to add.
The breakfast was excellent, but the directions to the Relais were unclear.

The building was very new and spotless, the staff were extremely kind and helpful, there was a reserved parking space and breakfast included, yet it wasn’t exactly next to the sea and the car had to be parked a short distance away.
Everything was fine—food, apartment, and very nice people, plus the location is close to the train station for visiting towns around and the Amalfi coast; thanks to Rosanna, her mother, and the breakfast staff, I strongly recommend this apartment.
The staff were friendly and the cleaning was good, but the road to the parking lot was dangerous.
