“Außergewöhnliche Villas direkt am Chobe River”

The lodge is a very nice, courteous and helpful place, with a lovely lodge complex and a small hanging bridge leading to the chalets (some chalets can be accessed without the bridge). The lodge and chalets are thoughtfully decorated, reflecting Namibian culture and nature, and are very clean with extensive amenities. Food and drinks are plentiful and tasty, and the lodge organizes safari excursions; the Boat Cruise with Bernard is especially recommended because he was very engaged and impressed with his knowledge.

The stay was magnificent, with meticulous attention to detail in everything from décor to guest relations. The whole team were friendly and helpful, remembering guests by name thanks to the low number of visitors at any time. The location is lovely, and the Chobe River boat safari is amazing, especially watching elephants cross the water. Crossing the border was seamless, though it could be a bit of a hassle if you plan a Botswana game drive, so it’s best to keep that for a stay across the border. Leaving was a bit of a disappointment.

“Spectacular views”

The villas are gorgeous, right on the water and tastefully decorated, and the lodge itself matches that quality; the viewing deck offers stunning vistas. The spa service was awful—appointments were consistently late, some were cut short while others ran over, and the white wines on the menu were absurdly priced, 7 to 10 times higher than what you’d pay at a bottle shop.

The place is sensational, surpassing all expectations; photos and descriptions can’t capture its true wonder—one of the best experiences ever. The staff are super polite and attentive, making for truly perfect days.

“Beautiful place but disappointed”

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The location is stunning, right on the river, and the luxury accommodations and food were top-notch. I also enjoyed the boat trips, which offered a great opportunity to see animals and birds, and our guide was knowledgeable. However, I was disappointed to find that there was no air conditioning, which was a major factor in my decision to book here.
