“Lovely Hotel in an excellent location which let itself down a bit with attention to detail.”
Excellent location, the room was comfortable and the hotel was beautiful. Our room on arrival hadn’t been properly cleaned. There was litter, empty bottles and plastic wrappers in some the drawers, the chair at the dressing table was covered in white stains which we didn’t like the look of. The coffee machine had not been re-stocked and there was no complimentary water in the room. I think this was an oversight in checking the room was ready to be occupied. We arrived quite late, after 9pm so there was plenty of time to have done this before we arrived. We reported this to the receptionist straightaway who said he’d sort it out, “Zimm Zimm!!” (Does that mean “quickly in Turkish?) But it wasn’t, WE cleared the rubbish out the next evening, the chair wasn’t cleaned or replaced, but the coffee machine WAS replenished. In fairness a few days later a lady (Ebru?) apologised and we received a free cup of coffee each and we’re not charged for drinking the Perrier water in the mini bar. For a top hotel which was not cheap it should have been better
