The room’s cleanliness was lacking, and no one was around at night to help with anything we needed. The staircase was in terrible condition, as if it had been abandoned for years; the range behind the wardrobe was dusty, and the view from the window was dramatic. The only thing that seemed somewhat maintained was the bathroom, which was far from the bright, wonderful appearance it promised. The area where we stayed at night was forbidding for walks. It felt like a terrible, isolated room with no elevator.
