I needed a spot near the bus station for an early departure, but all hotels were booked so I settled for an apartment instead. It turned out to be a charming place, nicely furnished, spotless, and the shower worked well. Google was a little off with directions—it's actually close to Kato Patissia on the green metro line. I was traveling from Corinth on the train, and Google directed me on a long walk from Agia Anagyroi station, yet the metro stop makes it easy to reach central Athens and the main train station at Larissa. The pink and blue lights were a bit much at first, and figuring out how to turn them off took a while, but once I did everything was fine. I’m not a fan of having to use a key code and enter a building where other residents live; I would only do that if I had no other choice. That’s not the apartment’s fault, just how it works.

From the moment we stepped into the apartment we were surprised… everything was spotless, the apartment was gorgeous and brand new.
