We stayed in a huge, beautifully decorated Chinese‑style apartment on the fourth floor – big living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and even a washing machine, which made it perfect for our family. The host was really friendly, spoke a little English, and even walked us to the ticket office to get a half‑price pass. The only hassle was that you have to buy a ticket to enter the ancient town and you have to purchase a new one if you come back the next morning, which was a minor inconvenience.

The owner was super welcoming and answered every question we threw at him, which made us feel taken care of. The inn itself is tucked inside a regular residential building, so the overall comfort level was pretty low – the living room had no air‑conditioning and felt chilly, and we needed extra blankets to stay warm at night.

We got a warm welcome and the location was great – a pleasant residential area just a couple of minutes’ walk from the old town. The only downside was the mattress; it wasn’t very soft, but for a one‑night stay it didn’t bother us much.
