2 twin beds

1 double bed

The location is great, just around the corner is a snack bar and a natural pool. The fridge and air‑conditioning are available. The room and bathroom are clean.
Cleanliness, view, location, quietness, and a small table in the garden are all positives. Nothing negative.
“Wir hatten eine sehr schöne und erholsame Zeit und haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt.”
Everything was fine, especially the very friendly staff who responded quickly and helped when needed. We could move spontaneously into a much larger, better equipped, and air‑conditioned double‑bedroom at no extra cost. A bit more cooking equipment (even though we had no stove) would have been great.
“If you want to swim on Faial, there's no better place than Varadouro.”
What impressed us most was that the best swimming spot on Faial is less than 50 m away, and Capelinhos is also nearby. The cabin’s facilities were very basic – we had a coffee machine and two mugs, no kitchenette, which we didn’t notice until after arrival. After we called, the hosts supplied a kettle, glasses, and other basics. However, none of the cabins had a drying rack, which would be useful for anyone who swims.
The location is good; there are two or three places to dine nearby, though the kitchen closes at 21 h, and the natural pools of Varadouro are adjacent. When looking at the photos, it seems the apartments have a fridge and coffee maker, but we booked the double‑bedroom in the main building where only bedrooms exist, and there is a shared common area with a fridge, coffee maker, two mugs, and two glasses for everyone. We would have appreciated more crockery and a sink to wash things. The general information mentions air‑conditioning, but it is only in some apartments. The bathroom is a bit old, and in our case the window mosquito net was half‑loose and held by a clip.
