It’s a typical accommodation for the country, you sleep on the floor on mats. Not uncomfortable but requires getting used to it. Everything else was there! The shower next to the toilet without spatial separation is, if you travel with a partner, something that needs coordination.

Kindness of the host, good location. The futons are very thin, even two layers still feel like you’re sleeping on the floor! We couldn’t close the sliding “door”, so it was slightly open. Privacy issue. No soundproofing, we hear everything the other guests say. Also nothing is blocking, neither the door nor the curtains. Result: woke up at 5:30 with the light and a big back pain.

The owner’s hospitality, his presence and availability, and the traditional nature of the lodging. Nothing particular. Adding a breakfast service could be a plus.
