I always travel with my small, well‑behaved dog, and the hotel offers breakfast, but here’s the contradiction: I can enter for breakfast but not my dog. I was surprised by that ban even though my dog is more well‑trained than many people. I don’t understand why they offer a service that isn’t actually a service. I had to use the same towels for two days and they didn’t bother to change them. What they were quick at was charging me 20 € per day for the cleaning caused by my dog, making it clear that I’m willing to pay the extra for my pet.

I stayed in the city center because we needed to visit the Reggia di Caserta, and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful—especially the receptionist when I had a high fever. The price‑quality ratio is great, even though the hotel doesn’t feel like a true **** star property, but that’s fine.
