The location was good and the towel was big and thick, but the price was too high—I paid $600 for two nights. The building felt old, the toilet didn’t flush properly, and on the second day I had to bang the cistern lid to help it flush after moving a toilet roll. I booked because of the restaurant, yet the staff member I spoke to didn’t check with the kitchen about Chinese food for a coeliac and simply suggested I eat elsewhere twice. There was no smoke alarm in my room, the carpet was filthy, the bin already had rubbish, and ants and bugs were present. The bathroom power point didn’t work and was hard to reach. The bed was crumpled, and neighbors on both sides were noisy with smoke drifting into my room.
