The location is convenient, especially with a bike rental nearby. However, the rooms were very small, the entrance narrow, including a tight alley from the back door to the hallway, and everywhere there were cobwebs, spiders and dust.

We ended up not using the accommodation; the room was tiny, damp, and dark.

The place had a fridge, microwave, kettle, and stove, and it was right in the center of Borová Lada, opposite a great restaurant by the Black Wolf. The bed was a makeshift double made from two single beds (but after a long hike you don’t mind), the mattresses were worn (yet still good for a quiet night), and the pillows were flat.

The location was central, with shops and restaurants nearby, and the pension offered dedicated parking for guests, a bike storage area, and a small kitchenette on the floor. However, the pension and its facilities need upkeep – many hallway switches are broken or close to breaking, the toilet leaks, the bathroom taps are old and squeak, rooms lock with bulky old keys instead of a keycard, towels are only one small set per person, the bike storage door is not fully open and is about to fall apart so it’s not safe for bikes, and the kitchen of the restaurant across the street often emits an unpleasant odor.
