The host was impeccable. The location was superb. Sun exposure was excellent. Breakfast was great. The rooms had no blackout curtains, so there was a lot of night light. Sound insulation was low. The rooms were old.

I loved this hotel in beautiful Forio. It’s right on the water and we had a small patio with a sea view that all the rooms seemed to have. The swimming from the hotel deck was wonderful. We were able to swim while watching the gorgeous sunset. We also ate at the restaurant and it was fantastic.

Umberto A Mare is a wonderful place with very friendly and welcoming people. The staff are always extremely helpful and incredibly warm and friendly in that typical southern European way. The location of the accommodation is fantastic. The breakfast served on the terrace is unique. The on‑site Michelin‑starred restaurant probably has the best setting you could imagine. We’ll be back. Nothing else.
