We stayed at the Fortuna-Haus, which offers less comfort but unbeatable value for money when combined with the good food, sauna, and location. The evening menu was varied, generous, and cooked very well, which we really liked, and the breakfast buffet was also good. Evening service was attentive and English‑speaking. Every day after skiing we used the sauna. A nice surprise was the free ski depot at the lift, allowing us to take the ski bus directly from the hotel to the lift, change into our boots there, and head out – extremely convenient. Overall, the ski area’s bus service is very practical. I definitely recommend it for anyone in St Anton looking for half‑board skiing without going into the higher price brackets. I did miss the ability to make tea and coffee in the room, and the drinks in the restaurant were very expensive, though that was true across the valley.

The vibe was great, with plenty of visibly happy guests around. The staff were super attentive, and the food and drinks were excellent. Our room was in a more dated (quaint!) part of the hotel, which isn’t really a criticism.
