Soro Hotel

A staff member entered my room at 2:00 a.m., apparently trying to steal from me; I don’t know why he was there. I was supposed to stay for three nights but had to leave the next morning. I can’t believe this hotel is on the “you need to avoid” list—I’ve never experienced anything like this. When I asked why he was there, he said “the old” and handed me a new key, using it to open the door. The front‑desk staff refused to refund the cash owed for the two nights I couldn’t stay, even though I have the receipt and need my money back.

The hotel is very comfortable in Dushanbe; Mirzo at reception was incredibly helpful and kind, and I would highly recommend it for a pleasant stay.

There was no breakfast, but the location is good. The room’s cleanliness really suffered: my 10‑month‑old baby was still crawling, the floors were terribly dusty, and there were many items left in the closets, indicating the rooms aren’t cleaned after each guest.

The location is great for exploring Dushanbe, the rooms were very clean, and communication with the hotel via WhatsApp worked perfectly; the airport shuttle was flawlessly organized. The only downside was that there were no sweet items at breakfast.

Really nice and comfortable place. You can sit outside in a quiet courtyard. Breakfast is freshly cooked and tasty. The staff is immensely helpful and friendly. You immediately feel very welcome in Tajikistan
