The Ollerod

“Won’t be returning! Not value for money.”

The building looked nice and our room was fine, except one single bed sloped down so hard that we had to prop it up with three cushions to keep it from falling out. The wide bath was great. We didn’t feel it was good value because there was no full English breakfast—only eggs and half a slice of sourdough toast. There was also no evening menu since something was broken in the kitchen, and that wasn’t mentioned at booking. We only had a takeaway van in the car park, so we left for a pub instead; the bartender was a bit too pushy.

A stunning historic building with a warm vibe, rooms that feel cozy and bathrooms that are lovely. The interior and exterior spaces are pleasant, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The tiny food van outside is a treat, and the Ollerod even let us eat their offerings in the bar. There’s parking on the premises, and the breakfast is nice too.

The location was ideal for our family event. The continental breakfast facilities were limited, offering only hot eggs, wifi dropped out every few minutes, and the car park was very small, used by everyone, including staff.

The historic building is beautiful, and the bedrooms are stunning; the lounge, bar, and outdoor areas are great, and the breakfast is superb. Everyone on the staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful. The location is excellent, just a short walk from a couple of amazing restaurants.

“Great choice”

Everything was perfect—the staff were super helpful and the family room was fantastic. There was nothing negative; the hotel was great.
