“Vraiment une grande chance d'avoir pu réserver un tel gîte à la dernière minute ! Merci Marie !!!”

Booking the night before for the next day, we still felt welcomed by Marie, the owner. Arriving late, she even offered to book the restaurant for us. The cottage exceeded the photos—everything was spotless, stylishly decorated, and the fan provided during the heatwave was high‑quality and quiet. Nighttime ventilation was easy thanks to window screens. The bed was huge, the building beautifully restored, all in a charming, quiet village near a small town with a bakery, pharmacy, and grocery. Marie’s breakfast was both delicious and generous. We also wanted to bike in the shade, and the cottage’s location was perfect, with many sights accessible via quiet rural roads or paths. The only hard thing to say is that Marie does everything to make your stay enjoyable and simplify your life; I truly can’t find a downside.

We rented the lower studio, which gave us access to a small courtyard so we could dine outdoors even though indoor dining was also possible. The cozy apartment was tastefully decorated, the bathroom spacious, and the 160‑cm bed comfortable. Marie, our host, was kind and available, and she let us taste her homemade jams, giving us a feeling of home and the calm of nature (animals and vegetation) nearby. The location is 1.5 km from shops (bakery, grocery, butcher, pharmacy), and hiking or mountain‑bike trails are close by. The only downside was the difficulty of finding a restaurant at the moment; they are often all booked (too many requests for the number of seats), so planning ahead is essential, especially in summer.
