“Как бы теперь забыть это”
The hotel is centrally located near attractions, and the breakfast is decent— the owner’s wife cooks with whatever she has. The price increased by 15% at check‑in under the pretext of a mandatory registration fee, yet no registration documents were provided; the owner claimed it’s normally free. I was told this by another hotel on the same route in a different Uzbek city, where registration never cost anything. The owner is a scammer! I booked a double room but arrived alone, so I was first assigned a triple room. The bedding on all beds had visible stains from human activity; it seemed very old and washed only in water, which was unpleasant given it was originally white. The bathroom fixtures were adequate, but the faucet wasn’t initially attached to the sink and hung only on hoses. The shower head was completely clogged, water leaked over it and ran sideways, risking a full tear and falling on your head. The beds were narrow and tightly packed under high nightstands, so you’d hit your head and arms all night. The large panoramic window on the first floor meant you’d be living almost outside, with street noise from a main city street. After a day, I was asked to move to another building’s double room. It turned out to be a different hotel, but apparently owned by the same person. The bedding was the same, stained with all kinds of human marks. In that room the faucet was attached to the sink but there was no water pressure. The shower existed, but the shower head was clogged like the first room and water didn’t flow through the holes; it leaked over and sideways. That room also lacked cleaning supplies, even soap. After this experience I was deeply disappointed with Booking reviews—I was the only one to see this nightmare, so the reviews must be wrong.
