Hotel Metropole, a 4-star hotel in Abano Terme, is set amidst a 30,000 m² park near the town centre. It features 4 thermal-water pools, 1 swimming pool, and an Oriental Thermal Spa. Spacious rooms, some with panoramic balconies, offer comfort. Gourmet buffets and Indian cuisine are served. A Mini Club for children and tennis courts cater to families, near Padua, Verona, and Venice.

The Wi‑Fi signal in the room was weak, the fitness centre had no Wi‑Fi, no towels, no water dispenser, and the air‑conditioning wasn’t adequate.

The garden was lovely with four outdoor pools, and the breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. The room offered a view of the park. The downside was that the breakfast terrace was on the cold west side of the street. With our small allergy dog, we were poorly accommodated in the mornings and afternoons, even though most tables were empty. The daily dog fee of EUR 30 was overpriced, with no bowl or waste bag service. We couldn’t find information about the spa offerings listed on the website, so we didn’t use them.

The hotel is set a bit away from the centre, but it’s very beautiful and well‑maintained, with comfortable, clean rooms. The style is a mix right now, and the oriental‑themed areas are gorgeous; the rest is tidy and keeps a marble‑and‑gold aesthetic that feels a bit dated for today’s taste. Cleanliness and order are evident in both common areas and rooms. The pool area is lovely, and we enjoyed using it at night until 23.00. We ate wonderfully at breakfast and dinner. The staff were always very friendly and fulfilled every request: when the bathrobe we received didn’t fit, a phone call fixed it. The only flaw I could find was that water‑play features are only in one of the pools, but that didn’t bother us. I would change the Italian habit of rushing to food for fear it’ll run out, but that’s not the hotel’s fault; the staff restock promptly.

The property is well‑kept, stunning with many oriental details, four beautiful gardens, large spaces for tennis, bocce, mini‑golf, and indoor/outdoor gym. Four thermal pools with varying temperatures, plus an Olympic pool that’s cooler, open until 23.00. The room was very beautiful, spotless, and quiet, with every comfort. Breakfast was sweet and savory with plenty of fresh fruit. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The value for money is excellent, especially since I booked with the Genius discount; at full price it would be a bit expensive, but it’s a 4‑star‑superior that deserves all its stars.
