Sun Moon Star Resort Koh Phangan

We stayed very well. The room was new and clean. The air‑conditioner was silent. The hotel offers a la carte breakfast, which we only tried on the last day but it was very good. We were there for 6 nights. The hotel also provides paid taxi services to leave directly from the hotel. The only advice we can give is to pay more attention to the outdoor garden areas, which have many exposed electrical wires and some polystyrene here and there. Even the hotel sign is a bit damaged and makes the place look decayed while everything is brand new. Still recommended.

It was in a quiet, silent spot and you could reach the beach in a few minutes. The owner was rude. We tried to rent a scooter and while negotiating the price she got angry, shoved the money in front of us and shouted for us to leave.

We loved the tidy bungalows just a three‑minute walk from the beach, the hosts were extremely welcoming and the whole team was wonderful. The on‑site restaurant “Memories” impressed us with its superb cooking, tasty dishes and a breakfast we adored, and we dined there every night of our seven‑day stay in a cozy setting with a sea view; every plate was made fresh and delicious. The reasonably priced taxi service they offered was very handy for our family of four, getting us everywhere we wanted and bringing us back on time. We also made good use of the excellent laundry service. Genuine hospitality is clearly practiced here, so we can wholeheartedly recommend Sun Moon Star Resort even though it isn’t right on the sand. We felt very comfortable and would book again.

Very, very clean. Spacious bungalows. Nice and quiet location. Beach towels and a beach bag were provided. Only a short stroll to the beach 🏖️. The staff are so helpful and friendly; nothing is too much trouble. The food here is fantastic too.
