“Disappointed!”
We stayed with our baby and the experience from check‑in to check‑out was extremely disappointing. The staff proudly told us we had been “upgraded” to a room with a jacuzzi, only to find out later that every room already had one, setting the tone for the misleading communication that followed. Within hours of check‑in the air conditioning stopped working, and because we were traveling with a baby this was a major inconvenience. We called reception and were told a technician would arrive, but instead a staff member brought a fan. During that visit we also pointed out that the bathroom lights were out and the glass door was broken—neither condition was safe for a baby. We asked for a room change and were repeatedly told the technician would arrive the next day, a promise that kept repeating every day of our stay. After persistent requests we were finally moved to another room, but it also lacked working air conditioning and we were still denied a kettle to prepare baby formula. The excuse was the same: “some guests put socks in kettles.” The new room didn’t help; the in‑room coffee machine produced yellow‑coloured hot water, making it unusable for formula. The hotel Wi‑Fi required a Turkish national ID and a Turkish mobile number to log in—something no visiting tourist would have; despite explaining this at check‑in we only connected on our third day. We pressed the in‑room “Make My Room” button one morning and left at 8 am. Returning at 5 pm the room had not been cleaned; we were told we should have informed reception separately. The purpose of an in‑room service button is to avoid this, so the response made no sense.
