“Ignoble”
Nothing at all was good. The place was downright disgusting – the very word doesn’t even cover it. We shelled out 800 000 VND for our final night before heading back to France and were hugely disappointed. There was no fridge in the room, the hotel toilets were broken and inaccessible before check‑in (which, by the way, was announced as 17:00 on the booking site), while checkout was absurdly early and limited to a 30‑minute window, also only mentioned online. To make matters worse they charge an extra 70 000 VND per hour after checkout, so paying 800 000 VND for that filthy room hardly feels like a robbery. The room itself was in a pitiful state – filthy, the word is generous. We found a massive amount of hair on the carpet, a nail at least 0.5 cm long on the floor, nightstands that were dirty, and armchairs packed with dust in their crevices. The bathroom was a nightmare: the blind was completely moldy, the towel in front of the bath was worn, dirty and black, as if never changed; the bathtub sat right next to an exposed electrical socket with no protection, which is downright dangerous; the tub leaked heavily when we showered, spilling water onto the tiles instead of draining. They offered shower slippers, which would have been fine if they weren’t covered in mud and dirt. The sheets were filthy, full of hair and stains, making us not want to sleep in them at all.
