Hotel Route-Inn Yukuhashi

Location, staff service, breakfast, and price were all satisfactory for my Silver Week stay. The downside was that there was only one elevator and no stairs inside the building (the emergency stairs are external and only for emergencies), so moving around took time.

The breakfast was tasty, especially the miso soup. The parking lot was a bit inconvenient because it was a little farther away when it stayed open late.

The renovated bathtub removed the Showa vibe, which is a plus, but the faucet twist and the confusion between the shower and washroom can be tricky; depending on the shower angle, you might get sprayed from above. The Wi‑Fi issue that happened in the past seemed fixed after I used it twice this year. It’s great that there are plenty of nearby restaurants and bars. However, I’ve always had concerns about the guests’ manners—specifically the many Korean visitors—and the public bath etiquette has stayed bad for years. I’ve stayed here multiple times and it’s always the same: after washing, people leave clothes scattered, sit on the edge of the tub with their crotch hanging, don’t wipe themselves when leaving, and sit naked on the changing room benches while using the hair dryer. Since seeing that for the first time, I’ve never wanted to stay again. Apart from that, everything else is fine.

The breakfast was tasty and the cleaning was thorough, but the toilet seat was cold; I wish it had been warm.
