The accommodation matched the description, located 3 km from Evora in a quiet hamlet. We were welcomed with eggs, milk, water and bread. The air‑conditioning in one of the rooms was broken, but the owner offered a room change, which we declined because the heat was bearable during our stay. There was no Wi‑Fi and no washing machine.

The place was very clean, and we received nice touches on arrival like butter, coffee, bread, milk and eggs. The instructions for accessing the property were clear, and Evora itself is a beautiful city. However, the air‑conditioners kept tripping every hour. The owner sent a company on day one with no result, and a second person came on day two with no improvement. On day three, a Sunday, we chose not to disturb anyone because we were not there to supervise repairs. We ended up staying six days, only sleeping in shifts and waking up each hour to flip the switch. Temperatures hit 42 °C during the day and 28 °C at night that week. The patio was almost unusable due to extreme heat and lack of ventilation. The barbecue was huge and unsuitable for a couple, but it was fine for a family gathering.

The property was excellent and the location very quiet, and it was well maintained. We had everything we needed and more. The owners were kind enough to leave eggs, milk, Alentejo bread and butter in the fridge for us, which we appreciated. A couple of minor suggestions: it would be nice to have the name of the property on the entry wall or gate, and the air‑conditioners sometimes struggled, requiring a regular reset of the switch on the board to work properly. The owners handled this promptly, so no complaints.

The house was very pretty, tastefully decorated and well situated. The living room was spacious and opened onto a terrace overlooking the countryside. We enjoyed the quiet and the proximity to Evora. A few extra dish towels would be appreciated.
