The stay was absolutely wonderful, with a fantastic location, amazing hosts, and beautiful grounds. Breakfast was filling, delicious, and surpassed our expectations. Being within walking distance of many wineries let us explore the area, or we could simply grab a bottle and enjoy the perfect view from the back door.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The 'cottage' is spacious, clean, well equipped, and situated in a beautiful area south of Cromwell. There were generous provisions for making your own breakfast, and the proprietors were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Good restaurants are within walking distance in Bannockburn, and more options plus shopping are a short drive away in Cromwell. If you're traveling in this part of NZ, this makes a great base. Wānaka and Queenstown are both an easy drive, and there’s also history to explore nearby in Cromwell and the Karawau Gorge. I had no complaints or real negatives to mention. Perhaps if you rely on a cooked (fried) breakfast, you should check with the proprietors whether it’s available from them or a nearby café, since there is no cooking hob in the cottage, but the continental-style breakfast was perfect for us. We would be very happy to stay again.
