“A thoroughly disappointing stay.”

The location works well for NEC and Birmingham access, yet the bed sits under a sloping roof, making it hard to get in and out from one side. Only one bedside lamp exists and it’s broken. There’s just one bath towel for two guests. The bathroom is in bad shape: the floor wobbles, the toilet leaks, and the shower hasn’t been cleaned. The bedroom is dusty. We ate at the restaurant, but portions were tiny and overpriced, and the bread was burnt. Parking signage and the website claimed £7, yet we were charged £8.

“Not again.”

The spot is close to NEC and M42, but the room is tiny and shabby; a 3/4 bed for two people feels cramped. The decor is tired, though the bathroom stays clean. The menu is limited, and the Indian dishes are meat‑free. Drinks at the bar are pricey. It’s convenient, but I’ll skip it next time.

The location to the airport is fine, but the bathroom was filthy, especially the floor. The room was very cold; we asked for heating, but they said it would heat the whole building and some guests might not want it on. They eventually brought us a heater. The TV was broken and they said it wouldn’t be fixed until the next day, but after we insisted it wasn’t acceptable, they brought a TV from an empty room.

“Dont stay here.”

The location was good, but when we booked, breakfast was advertised as included, yet it was only continental and not cooked. We had to pay extra and give an exact time for it to be served. The first day was poor; the second day had no breakfast at all. The continental side was worse. The room smelled awful—drain and damp odor. We couldn’t shower on the first night because the owner had turned off hot water for the whole hotel; we had to wait 45 minutes, which we couldn’t do because we had a table booked. The heating was on full blast all night in a cramped room where we couldn’t open the windows, as we were on the ground floor and foxes tried to get into the bins half the night. Happy hour ran from 4‑6 pm, buy one get one free for £7.99. The ads claimed all drinks were included, but it was only two types of beer, nothing else. They were served at the same time, so the second one went warm, and they were just poured from a can. The only decent thing was the location, but you have to pay extra for parking. Never again.

The room was nice and breakfast was okay, but the £10 charge for being 15 minutes late—even though we called from the airport because the plane had just left—felt wrong since it wasn’t our fault. The room was freezing cold with no heating, so I couldn’t sleep because of the chill.
