Hotel Podhradie really surprised us pleasantly. It sits in a quiet spot on the outskirts of town, right beneath the mountains. A big bonus was the view from our room of Považský hrad. The hotel offers a large parking lot, so parking was never an issue. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and Wi‑Fi worked without a hitch. Breakfast is extra and the menu offers four items plus a buffet, but we were satisfied and it was enough for a short stay. Overall we were very happy with the stay. In my opinion the hotel has huge untapped potential – beautiful and peaceful location, castle view, possibility to hike to Považský hrad, ample parking, and excellent staff. The biggest drawback was the lack of air conditioning. During hot days the room was very warm. The table fan helped circulate air but did not cool the room. We were lucky that the next day it cooled slightly. The bed also gave off a noticeable smell. A real loss is that the hotel restaurant is not operational and only serves breakfast. We had to arrange lunch and dinner ourselves.

“Celkovy pobyt bol velmi projemny”

The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly, and breakfast tasty. It was hot and the rooms lacked air conditioning.

The location is great, the room is very cozy and spacious, the billiard bar has many games, and the people working at the hotel are super nice. Breakfast is good :)

Good selection at breakfast. We were able to snag a room even on May 1st. There is no restaurant service even though there are no other eating options within walking distance (especially on weekends).
