The staff were very courteous, and the owners enthusiastically fulfilled all our requests. This place in Macari is unique; you can truly relax in a charming and peaceful setting. The breakfasts on the terrace with a view of Monte Cofano were wonderful. Our room was in very good condition and very clean. The room would benefit from glasses, mugs, and a kettle.

The property is lovely, every room smells clean. The hand towels are snow‑white and soft, toiletries and extra paper in the bathroom. The beautiful terrace with a white‑blue mosaic theme and the phenomenal view of Monte Cofano makes breakfast even tastier. Even though the selection might seem limited, I left each day satisfied and full, and the Polish and Italian approaches to breakfast differ greatly :) Every day there was freshly baked cake by Giovanna, everything was fresh, added on the spot, and Antonio handled coffee orders. The owners are generous, very hospitable; when I ran out of water and the only shop in town was closed, they brought me two bottles of water after 9 pm, and at the end of my stay even drove me to the bus. That’s hospitality that surprises. Rooms are also cleaned daily if you wish. During my stay I changed room type, Giovanna quickly prepared the room, and even moved my belongings when I was playing with the cat Matisse on the terrace. Thank you so much for the stay, I hope my Italian improves on the next visit and we’ll talk more 🥰 I had no car, you can get everywhere on foot, but it’s a bit of walking. Macari’s beaches are wonderful and worth spending time here instead of treating it as a base for San Vito. This is my favorite place in Sicily, with the best view and beloved beach Caletta del Bue Marino. The only downside was having to come back :(

The owners Giovanna and Antonio are very kind and hospitable, with a sense of humor. They make sure nothing is missing at breakfast, brew coffee, chat with guests, and give local recommendations. Unfortunately, if you don’t speak Italian it’s a bit harder. They were very welcoming, checked me in early, and when I left for the bus to Palermo they simply followed me and told me to get off at the stop. Thank you ❤ The property is impeccably clean, everywhere smells fresh. Rooms are super equipped: smart TV, air conditioning, a mini fridge that cools well. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the bathroom has toiletries and four types of towels. A dryer is mounted on the windows, and there’s a hanger in the bathroom to hang laundry. Nice seaside vibe, a beautiful terrace, and amazing hospitality. Giovanna and Antonio really care about guests; I felt taken care of. The room with a sea view unfortunately had a sewage smell, but closing the door and turning on the ventilation helped. It’s a shame there’s no public kettle or mugs, because I’d love to make tea during my stay.

The welcome, the host’s friendliness and helpfulness, the cleanliness, comfort, décor, the easy parking next to the accommodation, and the breakfast served with care. Additionally, the excellent restaurant on Rue Haut, accessible on foot: Azzura Makari. We definitely recommend it.
