“One of the best motel experiences of my long life.”
The staff here were genuinely outstanding—from maintenance to desk clerks to maids—all went above and beyond in a cheerful, accommodating way. When we two older ladies arrived, exhausted from a drive to and from a medical procedure in Denver, we were already past the usual check‑in time and requested connecting rooms; they arranged them quickly and even supplied water. When bad weather forced us to stay two extra days, they renewed our reservations without fuss, even though it wasn’t a busy season. You could sense that the staff were treated with care and respect. Breakfast was exceptional, with two staff members preparing hot dishes from the regular menu (scrambled eggs, meat, cheese, etc.) or a daily special that could include huevos, biscuits and gravy, pancakes. If that wasn’t your style, there was an oatmeal bar with fresh fruit, a waffle‑making station, juice, coffee, and muffins (arrive early to get them). The two women serving were exceptionally helpful and cheerful, earning their tips. At check‑in, another desk clerk remarked, “This is the best hotel I know of,” and I wholeheartedly agree. Many hotels and chains would do well to learn from these folks.
